Prenatal Alcohol Exposure in the Foster Care Population

“Prenatal Alcohol Exposure in the Foster Care Population” is presented by Carole Hurley, J.D., FASD Prevention Task Force.

Many of the children coming into foster care have family histories of drug use and abuse. Women, as poly-drug users, often use alcohol in addition to drugs, and as a result many of the children have prenatal drug and alcohol exposure. This webinar will look at the impact of prenatal exposure, the challenges faced by these children and their caregivers, and examine strategies and interventions to help them succeed.
